From what I have read, he certainly is going to win. So he either a/ignores it, b/ invites his wife onstage and explains it, or c/ invites Rock on stage and makes amends.
The assault was unacceptable, even knowing about this condition. Skip the assault and just do the yelling/swearing and he would be universally applauded for it.
