How about that penalty killing? Textbook. And against one of the top (or the top?) PP in the league.

Great win but take 5 or more penalties again on Wednesday and we are likely looking at a loss.

Didn't put a total plug next to Johnny-monahan and largely seemed to roll mostly the top two lines and the pp1. Was a great change.

We allowed 34 shots so evidently not very good. but at least coaching didn't actively get in the way of the win as is usually the case.

Great win! Puck luck was on our side but the boys earned it. Can’t question the work ethic tonight. Nice to enjoy not just a win but a stress-free win. The flames looked great all game long without a let down in the third.

7 penalties including one two man and one at the end with the net empty = lots of shots.

Waste of time. Why bother?

5v5 we were outshot 23-20, outchanced 19-13 at 5v5, out HD chanced 8-3, and out xGF 1.71-0.77

If this is the "best" game the team can muster together under ward, that is far from encouraging.

It was a fun win, but we don't need to push some false narrative that just because the players executed, that ward's systems suddenly are good.

Great - and very enjoyable game for a change! BSD was steady and had a bit of puck luck ("You make your own luck" - K Hrudey) and the boys played hard and fast all night. Now, figure out how to do that against a trap team dammit!!

Ward, for a change, had the right lineup out and linesets...so nothing to complain about and everything to cheer!! WAH FRICKING HOO!!!

PK was fantastic (wish they were on the ice less) and the D on that 5-on-3 and 6-on-4 was outstanding.

Nice to see them pull together.

Loved Tkachuk's hit on Tavares.
Hated Bennett's miss on the empty netter.
Loved the fact that they had Bennett out there.
