Just mentioned something similar in the Mitch Love AHL Coach of the Year thread, but in that same vein... imagine if Markstrom wins the Vezina... (not happening, I'm sure, but both the AHL and NHL top goalie awards in the same organization in the same season would be pretty insane).

I think this seals it.

Dustin Wolf has now officially passed David Wolf as the best Wolf in Flames franchise history.

Congrats Dustin.

Poll worthy before we call this race?

Awesome. Excited to see what the future holds for this kid . His head is screwed on straight which makes it even more reassuring that he's got a future here.
Things are looking good for allot of our up and comers.

Pretty sure Arsenii Sergeev will be named USHL Goaltender of the Year.

AHL Coach of the year, AHL Goalie of the year.
Likely:
NHL Coach of the year, NHL Goalie of the year finalist.

The Flames organization is doing good things!

I'm impressed. Does anyone know how many times a rookie has won this award?

I predict 1300 points over his career. Minimum.

Given he was named a First Team All-Star, the Bastien Award was a foregone conclusion.

Remains to be seen if he also takes the Les Cunningham Award as the AHL's most valuable player.

Last goalie to win that? Jason LaBarbera (2003-04).

OMG I literally just got chills thinking about hearing an entire stadium howl like a Wolf when he's an NHL goalie making huge saves in a close game, akin to the Looooooch chant and others like it.

Kid just keeps surpassing expectations. That takes a great deal of character and talent.

This is good news for the Flames and player development. We now have someone who could play along side Markstrom and possibly replace him when he retires.
