He's one of the guys who I think could be, but also isn't clearly, an upgrade.

Well if you watched the outdoor game in Nashville there were well over 20000 Tampa fans at the game.

He's on pace last year and this year for 21 goals/82 games playing in a lesser role on a lesser team. Maybe he flourishes in the right situation and is someone who not only helps this year, but could be had for a reasonable price moving forward.

All true. Except I'm not sure it's a lesser role he's got now. He's playing with Gourde or Wennberg mainly. And he's not playing C most of the time.

Darryl must already be chomping thru his bit....I see him doing the pressers and trying so hard but you can tell he hates the regular season because unless you make the playoffs it's a long season and if you don't make it its a waste of time.

He says it all the time " if you don't make improvements EVERY day your in trouble"!

So with that I hope we start seeing some better performances from certain players who Darryl knows can give more but aren't necessarily doing so.

Regardless....let's beat the Bolts take out 2 points and move on.
Should be a great game tonite . Lots of motivation for allot of reasons .

Not that it matters but it’s “champing at” not chomping I’ll stick to Russian though.

I forgot how much I missed it. It’s a treat listening to Darryl and now a part of my daily game routine, pre and post. Not many hockey minds that are on his level.

my wife was in Nashville in the days leading up to the outdoor game (she didn't realize there was an outdoor game, she thought just a regular league game) but she definitely observed that downtown Nashville was crawling with Tampa fans

With back2back cups you get a lot of bandwagon "fans"

Careful how fast you move those goalposts. You'll clobber someone.

Sutter basically stacked the three lines and Luc, Mony and Dube will only see a lot of ice if were ahead in the third. If not I think Sutter set those lines to be shortened for a tight or behind third period.

Of course it's all out the window if theres tons of penaties and special teams. Still interesting line with Mang, Rudzicka and Toffoli!

Questions I would love to ask Darryl:

1. If you could start the playoffs now would you, or do you like having another 20 games to work on things?

2. Who would you want to play in the first round?

3. If you were the GM, what deadline deal would you make?
