Default Hawks at Flames 8:00pm TV: HNIC Radio: Fan 960

The Flames start a three game homestand tonight, after a mostly successful road trip along the coast. 6-2, 6-2, 6-0 wins (Something something screw the Kings) and tonight they look to continue scoring six goals a game.

Man the flames suck at home lately. Time to bring some of that road magic back home.

I’ll donate $20 to CP if the flames score 6 or more goals tonight.

Flames on the road have been okay. Out of 32 games away, they have won 17 (Win % of .531). The rest of the schedule is mostly at home, where they haven't been that great. Out of 27 games, they've only won 13 for a Win % of .481.

If they're going to make the playoffs, they have to start taking advantage of their home ice. This week their offense has turned on, and they've had a few convincing wins. Hopefully tonight is another one of those, and they start to bring the home win percentage above 50% from here on out.

It is crazy that Chicago has the 30th ranked powerplay. This will be good test to see if the Flames can carry the mojo they found on the road and bring it home. I am going to say a 5-2 win with goals coming from Monahan (3) Backlund (1) Ryan (1) Tkachuk 2 Apples, Gaudreau 3 apples. Lindholm picks up an Apple to keep the point streak going.

This is a typical excuse game for the Flames. First game back after a road trip, trap game, yadda yadda.

Hopefully this game provides some evidence Flames are turning the corner and geared up for a big push down the stretch.

First game back after a road trip.
Hawks currently near the bottom of the standings and have lost 3 straight.
Flames suck at home.

Yea, I don't have a good feeling about this one.

Just checked the schedule. Four games in 5 1/2 days with the early game Monday!!! Who made that up? No excuses though. Just do it, Flames.

Could be an interesting line with Bennett centering Looch and Dube, could be good for a goal. Also shows how much we lean on Ryan for centre depth.

I think there's less chance of a goal coming from that line with Bennett there in place of Ryan. Ryan is the better player by quite a big margin.

That bottom 6 without Ryan leaves a lot to be desired. Hope he's able to suit up tonight, but even if he doesn't, the Flames need to get some momentum going at home.

GFG!

The Czarnik handling is a little wierd, considering how well he is playing in Stockton. Are we saving him as our black ace not so secret weapon to plug in come play off time?

It probably has more to do with his history. Czarnik has been able to—for a long time now—dominate the AHL. It always seems to be a different story in the NHL, where he has been mostly ineffective.
