Haha! That money is going to pay for my golf game tomorrow and a few celebratory beers afterwards!

I was opposite. Bet my friend $100 we wouldn't make it. Never been so happy to pay a debt out ever. Told him I would gladly pay him every year if it meant making the playoffs.

I deserve this thread
As conductor on Lambert's train to Tankville, I humbly accept the 1st Class PILLICK Of The Year award. From this pt forward (till the end of playoffs anyways), I will be taking the George Kstanza approach. Whatever I am thinking I will say the opposite, cause obviously I don't know ####. Apologies to any and all that I may have been offended by my no goodness and at times condescending rhetoric. This site is truly awesome, ty CP and CPer's for your knowledgeable insight. Special thx to the Flames for proving me wrong. What a ride. GFG!!!!!!

I'll take 1 helping please. Didn't for a second think the Flames would make the playoffs and had been saying all year they wouldn't.

Oh man...I wish it was crow that I'm supposed to eat.
Never going to doubt the heart and will of this team again.

Happily eating crow when it comes to Deryk Engelland. Absolutely hated the signing (well, the contract, to be precise) at the time and I hated it even more in the first half of the season, but man, did he turn it around in the fibal weeks of the season.
Well done, Mr Engelland. Sorry for doubting you.

I thought the Flames would finish 5th in the division and would have laughed at anyone saying they would be 3rd ahead of San Jose and LA. A lot of people had them picked 7th though so I don't think I need to eat crow.

I thought the Flames were gonna be bad at the start of the year.
I thought the Flames were going to fade away when they had that 8 game losing streak.
I thought the Flames were going to falter down the stretch after Gio got hurt.
I was wrong big time, and I am very happy about it.

I thought Stajan should be outright released a couple months ago. But, ill eat a solid helping of crow and admit his defensive game and solid veteran play has been an integral part of our success. Glad i was wrong. PS this took everything in me to admit this by the way lol

My buddy at work said at the beginning of the season that he thought the Flames would make the playoffs.
I wanted to call him a GD lunatic, but he's my boss. I told him we'll probably finish a little better than last season but we'll still have a top 6 pick...
I'll gladly take a family pack of Calgary Fried Crow

I thought we'd be a lottery team......then I saw them play. This team looks terrible on paper but amazing on the ice and that's what counts. I was wrong about this team but this is the happiest I've ever been about being wrong.

I was definitely a doubter. This was the season I thought we'd have NEXT year.
So happy I'm wrong and I'm even more excited by the fact we're only going to get better!
Plus, now we get the series we wanted! #### THE 'NUCKS

Very few people anywhere thought the Flames would be a playoff team.
I can't remember what I predicted, but I am sure I was thinking bottom 5.
I would be interested to se if anyone can dig up a post from the beginning of the season proving they thought the team would make the playoffs (other than Aaron Ward of course). Find me 10 posters that thought we would be in the playoffs, and I will eat crow. If not, I think we should leave the crows alone.

before the season I had them in the bottom 5. 3 weeks in I thought they'd make the playoffs. Then when Gio went down I was certain we'd miss. Although after a few games I realized that I shouldn't doubt this team

I see your split seats and raise you a selling of 100% of my tickets. That's right, the whole damn year.
