Yes, the Compact is for Bell. The regular Z3 is for more carriers. Here's a quote from their facebook page at www.facebook.com/sonymobile.ca (see October 5 post):

So the compact has a lower resolution screen (which probably wouldn't matter at that size) and 2 gigs of ram versus 3. It'd be a tough call as to which one I'd choose if I were on Bell. I think the Compact has an even longer battery life than the regular Z3.
It still blows my mind people record "unboxing" videos.
That one has almost a million views, too. You have to admit, unboxing underwater did add something to the entertainment value of what is typically a pretty mundane genre of youtube videos.
