I keep forgetting about him, but I have to think Knight could possibly be one of, if not the biggest standout in the tourney. He's got plenty of experience compared to a lot of these guys.
My spotlight will be firmly fixed on Monahan, however. By the sounds of what he's done over the summer in working on strength and bulking up another 10+ lbs, I really want to see if this guy can crack the big team. He's now at an NHL weight/size, so if he can show his maturity and advanced hockey sense (for his age) with the big boys, maybe just maybe it could happen! As a new part STH, I'll gladly welcome the extra future attraction to the lineup, considering the expectations for the season. But it all starts tonight!

Fully expect that the junior Flames to win given their roster talent is much more offensively minded and balanced. Hmmm .... 5-1.

Holy ish I'm excited about this game. I really wish Klimchuk could be in this tourny, but it'll be my first time seeing Monahan, Poirier, Sieloff, Knight, Kanzig, etc. play live.
Half an hour to go.

A couple things I'm looking for tonight:
Solid 2 way play from Knight and Monahan
Baertschi getting on the scoresheet
Hanowski and Reinhart playing a gritty game
Poirier creating chances with his speed
Kanzig and/or Sieloff laying out someone hard (and clean)
Steady D presence from Ramage and 'Spoon
Solid positioning/controlled rebounds from Brossoit
And ....... a win
