I don't get particularly upset about any celebrity death, but Princess Diana dying is engrained in my psyche. Not sure why.

It looks like an OD so I'd say prescription meds with alcohol maybe with coke in the mix. Sad to see a talented young person go out like this. RIP.

Phil Hartman's death shocked me, largely because of how it happened.

Just speculation. Autopsy tomorrow, and I think tox reports tend to weeks in these sorts of cases.

Yeah. Celebrities die of overdoses all the time but it's not often they go by having their head blown off by their spouse. The fact that the guy was one of the best comical talents on the planet makes it even worse.

This one shocked me because it is the first celebrity who was younger than me when he died. Cory seemed like a good dude who just couldn't shake those demons.

That's really unfortunate.
It wasn't that long ago he was talking about getting clean and wanting to be a positive role model for young people. He was saying that he didn't want young people to look at him and see how he was a dropout and someone who made bad decisions (i.e., drugs), but was still very successful. He knew for him, it was a fine line between being a TV star and being dead in a ditch and he didn't want others trying to follow that path.
It sucks that he lost the battle (or at least it seems pending the medical examination), but hopefully it's not a lesson wasted on the same people he was hoping to inspire.

Heard on the radio that any claims it were an overdose were unfounded at this point.
Take that for what you will, I haven't been following this at all really.

Well it's either an overdose, a suicide or a heart attack if it's not suspicious. So people speculating overdose due to his past can't be faulted.

I agree. For the police to immediately rule out foul play, there has to be some obvious evidence that this was either misadventure (OD) or suicide and there was a letter left.
A natural cause, such as a heart attack, would not be something the police would logically assume to be a cause, at least not enough for them to rule out foul play.

wonder what they do with the room in the hotel. do they just clean it up and start letting guests stay in it within a week or so, or do they redecorate or do they just shut it down.
my only feeling on this is yet anotehr young hollywood celebrity who likely died due to the excess of wealth/fame........

Chris Benoit's did it for me, somewhat due to the fact that it was a murder-suicide, but largely because I'd shook his hand and had a 5 minute conversation about stupid wrestling stuff with him when I was 13. Hard to imagine those were the same people.

Chris Farley saddened me when he passed. His private life was a mess but from everyone that knew him said he would do anything to make them laugh and was a pretty giving person. Super funny guy one of my favorite SNL guys that entire cast was solid. As for this Glee dude thoughts go out to his family and friends hopefully it is not an OD a waste if it is.
Personally its a show i know nothing about no interest just not a fan of any tv musical.
