I have only been to Seattle once, and only for a weekend. I remember just walking around town and seeing some cool stores. There was a museum of oddities that was worth a look if you're just sauntering around. I also recall a huge toy store that was kind of neat.

I disagree. Their Vegas location is amazing, but it's such an inconsistent chain. Unless I just caught them on an off day, the one in Seattle isn't worth visiting.
Anthony Bourdain did an episode of The Layover in Seattle this season. I'd definitely check that out for restaurant recommendations. I haven't been to any of these places, but Bourdain has rarely steered me wrong... http://www.travelchannel.com/tv-show...eattle?cat=eat

Inexpensive hotel DT and close to everything would be the Red Lion. Stayed in Sept and liked it. Nothing over the top fancy but it did the trick.
Another option is VRBO.com and rent a condo or house.
Pikes market
First Starbucks
The gum wall
The underground tour
Experience Music Project ( was alright )
Space needle
Catch a ball game
Take a dinner cruise
Seattle wheele ( eye )
I did all the attractions in it last month it was pretty fun. I'm more of a pub and bar food type but I thought Zekes Pizza near the Space Needle was good. Pikes Place Brewery wasn't bad but the chips are literally potato chips not french fries. They have a brewery tour which is free.
