No, they danced around it saying things like "strong precedent" and whatnot. That doesn't mean they can't overturn that precedent.

Conservatives - did we say our country was based on Judeo-Christian values? We misspoke, we always meant Christian values.

morally yes, legally no, perjury basically pertains to lying about something that has happened

I hope Americans learn a lesson from this decision about the fragility of government.
In the case of the judicial branch it took decades of effort for it to be turned, but the executive nearly fell in only 4 years of disorganized chaos. As the January 6 hearings are making clear, only a good few people stood between Trump and the continuation of American democracy. Give him and the Republicans another 4 years and it's pretty much curtains.
Leaving aside all the implications re: abortion rights, the court's decision really should highlight how on the brink America is as a democracy.

I think he pretty clearly means there will be "blowback" for Republicans, which, you know, LOLOLOLOLOL. Must be new to American politics I reckon.

In the long run there probably will, this gives state level democrats a huge issue forever basically, especially to get young people to vote, 'vote democrat so your coat hanger can go back in the closet and your brother can come out of it'

What long run lol. Republicans have the finish line to their Christian fascist paradise in sight, once they get there that is that for America. As much as we may think there will be motivation on the left, I expect there is even more motivation from the Christian right to finish the job with how a big boost as today was to them.

Honestly, I wonder how long it takes countries that have historically lost emigrants to the USA to set up programs to repatriate them. Essentially, if you're the Canadian, UK, Australian, or an EU government and you've lost talent to the US, this is a massive opportunity to reverse that and get those folks back into your domestic economies. I think there are a lot of ex pats checking on job boards back home today (I know I am).

No universal healthcare, no mandatory maternity leave and now forced births even for rapes and incest.
What a shathole of a country the USA is.

Simply from a fundamental, thermodynamic level of politics.
This is some coyote-catching-the-Roadrunner level “now what”, and I don’t think it’s going to go the way Republicans want.

^^^^^^
Laugh Out Loud, its been going the way Republicans want for a few years and they are on the verge of taking the US to a place that Democrats can't get it back from. They don't even need a Republican president the way white, Christian America is doing everything they've ever wanted to do to bring things back to the old days.
Things are getting dangerous now, and I don't see how the US comes back from this spiral, myself.
