I’ve owned a couple models and I’m not a fan of any of them. If we have another kid I’d grab an actual indoor security camera like Lorex or Ubiquiti.
Two-way talk and all that other bull#### is useless. Clear picture (especially night vision) is the highest and only priority. Sound playback is a bonus.
I got rid of my smart baby monitor and just got a dumb one. Nothing more annoying than firing up your phone in the middle of the night, finding the all, waiting for it to connect, etc.
Works as advertised. Been using this brand for a few years now.

Do they have a non-smart phone accessory?
Would be easier when babysitters/grandparents are watching

Note: as with most things these days, hard to find desirable models though.
Agreed, for some reason they mostly seem to be garbage. We’ve gone through three. Can’t remember the first brand (something starting with a “V”). Next we went with Kodak. Both those lasted a very short amount of time (under 4 months), then just stopped working.
Eventually we went with Motorola and it’s been very good. Good quality picture, no issues with performance.
Our personal preference was to go with a stand-alone monitor and receiver, rather than anything Wi-Fi/phone connected.
My favorite were the ones with the breathing / movement monitor in them. Airway is life. Didn't want to be staring at the phone / monitor remote unit all the time. All I needed were audio cues that something was amiss.
We only had one child, and we only used a baby monitor very briefly at the start and when it didn't work well we never replaced it. Our baby also didn't sleep in the same room as us at all, but he was right down the hall. If I was to have another baby, which I won't, I wouldn't use a baby monitor at all. The trade off is I did have to stay close during naps but my kid was such a garbage napper that I had to anyways.

We bought the Nanit baby monitor, I havent checked to see if there is a way touse via the computer but the monitor is able to be viewed through their app no problem on android/apple devices. bought a cheap tablet touse as the in house monitor. I know you can get the higher grade onethat will monitor breathing etc with a special swaddle wrap.
other then the occasional restart of devices (could be the device) it has been pretty reliable. we also bought the travel kit and you can bring it with you on trips/if you are going to someones house for a party and want to put the kid to sleep there etc.\
downside it was rather expensive but probably has good resale value.

We use a Levana Oma Sense (abdominal movement monitor, depending on age of your baby) and a Ring security camera. Works great and does everything you want.
edit: Sorry, just realized you said with a receiver unit. We found that with the Levana it removed the need for a receiver unit as it beeps if it no longer senses motion and if it's to recognize when your baby is awake, the Ring security camera will notify you of movement immediately (once set up properly).

Motorola's Hubble cam is what we've been using for the last few years.
I basically had the same parameter set, and yeah it has a handheld, smartphone app and PC integration, and purchasable hosting options if you want historicals because you're a paranoid new dad.
The only bad part is that the handheld sometimes pops the screen on in the middle of the night, but it's not bright enough to wake you up. It's just noticed when you get up to piss.
I'm surprised at how much difficulty I'm having finding a baby monitor that has audio/video, a receiver unit, but you can also access on a smartphone.
If it can connect through the Google Home that's a nice bonus but not needed.
If it can be a home security camera that'd be a nice bonus but not needed.
Seems like everything is either smartphone only, or you can't use it at all.
We had a Motoroloa one that didn't work well when using your smartphone/computer.
I used Yi cameras in the past. Especially the 360 one. It worked as a security cam, linked to smart phones etc. Instead of an offline tablet, I think you can just install the app on a cheap tablet. This was around 4-5 years ago. It was pretty easy to have multiple cameras on a single account. The notifications and sensitivity of detecting movement/crying was very good IMO and much better than most camera options out there and definitely more convenient with the smart phone app.
The one Regulator linked is similar to the Yi 360 I used. The current Yi cameras seem to be a little spotty, so I'd roll the dice on that little elf. TBH, it looks nearly identical to the original one I used, so fingers crossed it's a copy/clone, because it was a very good camera.
If it's like the camera I had, you might need a micro SD card to playback short clips of the movement and crying detection, but you don't need a big one. Just a small one. I also purchased a small floating shelf and attached the camera to it. I turned off 360 auto cruising and just had it in a fixed position, but it was always nice to be able to scroll around from the phone if needed.
