Let's just say the Flames have another bad season. How much of the Flames organization you want to see shaken up?

Option 1: Ownership sells the team to new owners (*hopefully better ones)
Option 2: Brad Treliving is fired along with the entire scouting and managing department to bring in completely new management
Option 3: A New Coach (not another re-tread like Sutter)
Option 4: New core of players

You can provide your own options as well...

I'm not sure any level of a bad season will result in Murray and co. selling the team. But I think the second option is very much in play, potentially as soon as November or December if things go really wrong.

Sutter is here to stay. The fourth option, who knows.

I hope scouting stays. Other than drafting a prove goalie they have done pretty well with mangiapaine, sniping Adam fox and anderrsson

If Treliving isn't interested in a core transplant than he can be shown the door.

Sick of slapping band aids on a much larger problem. Need a big solution.

Option 1 - 0% chance, and I honestly don't mind the owners. They spend to the cap and we don't hear about much if any intervening.

Option 2 - definetly has legs with the exception of scouting getting canned. Scouting has actually been a strong suit of the flames recently, but the management team leaves a lot to be desired.

Option 3 - Slim chance. If you can't succeed under the last 5 coaches, odds are it isn't Sutter that's the problem.

Option 4 - Ding ding ding

Yeah I get the feeling that Sutter will stay regardless of the outcome of the season and he will probably have some input on the new GM. Firing Treliving mid-season would be a tough call as someone has to handle the Gaudreau situation although Darryl probably wouldn't be scared to make a bold move from the GM seat and deal him. I would be worried about another shortsighted win-now, quantity over quality type of trade like he did with the Phaneuf trade.

I am torn about ownership. They spend to the cap and they are rarely in the news; however, they are the one constant thru this.

Sell to better owners? Who would these better owners be? Ones that allow the GM to do his thing and spend to the cap? Oh wait, we already have those. Dumb statement. All the other conditions likely come with the house cleaning that is certain to follow with another failed season, but ownership is not a problem. Never has been.

Easy tiger, he's just laying out all the options. Maybe Ownership won't allow a proper rebuild.... we dont know.
