Retro Jerseys for Playoffs? I believe the Sharks elected to wear their third jerseys for playoffs before.

Is that supposed to be wheat or something that is ghosted into the red on the mask?

I love this mask and I love this goalie!

This definitely could be a not towards that, if that's something that the mask designer is privy to (and anyone thought to get them that info).

I would have to imagine that it would only be stubbornness that would get in the way of that at this point though. A lot of marketing and the occasional white-logo on a broadcast hints to where we're headed as well

Ears painted on a mask will never not be upsetting.

There is a design but it's not wheat.

And Bart is there as well (beside the 33 on the chin): https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DxiSPqsUcAELzSr.jpg:large

EDIT: Thanks to FanIn80, Textcritic and others -- my old eyes are failing me...

This shows that Rittich gets it. He gets the team history and he gets why those two are so integral to the expectations of fans. Not saying he's trying to be those guys right away, but to aspire to their level by looking at them every time he puts on the mask reinforces it.

I love it. It shows true commitment to this team. I think he sees himself here long term, possibly on a championship team. I sense that contract talks are going pretty well for him at the moment for him to do this.

I think it is the wheat pattern from the Alberta Flag.
