2015:

Friend: "Who's Kylington?"
Me: "Erik Karlsson 2.0, just you wait"

2017:

Same friend: "Who's Juuso Valimaki?"
Me: "If Giordano were Finnish."

So far, so good.

I agree about Quine. Not Mangiapane. I think people's recollections about Dube are overstated. He looked pretty good IMO. And he scored.

I think though that Lazar will get a look, at least to make him trade fodder. And what about Graovac - he has looked pretty good down there.

I personally don't think Dube looked good. His skating and work ethic was great but his reaction time is slower and his positioning wasn't very good. He still has lots of time so I would let him develop his game in Stockton for a while longer not because of his age but he's still not ready for the NHL.

I suspect Lazar is not up here for the same reason Quine is not up here. He'd have to clear waivers to be sent back down and after all, we're not exactly struggling or desperate for an answer on the 4th line.

Seems very likely Flames will add a depth forward at the deadline. After that, I expect the order of priority for the depth forwards will be Hathaway, Lazar, Quine, Mangiapane. I personally don't see Dube getting a look again this year unless they really need a bunch of depth. And I don't see Czarnik getting much playing time in the playoffs at all either.

Lazar still has to play 10 games or be on the roster for another 27 days to need waivers again.

They can give him a look see if they want to.

Done with the Mangiapane experiment.

I was more thinking of after the trade deadline, when the roster is expanded. Of course, there will be cap considerations. And Stockton's PO standing will impact as well.

1 assist in 23 games isn't a good look for AM, Quine seems like the best option for a call up, he is at 1.35ppg in AHL, next closest is AM & Dube @ ~1ppg, then 0.86ppg for the next highest roster player. Quine also has 3g 1a in his 9 NHL games.

If coaches are feeling experimental, Lazar could get a look.

Something tells me Kylington isn't the type to take kindly to a demotion after playing well.

How come? What exactly about him makes you feel that way?

After the trade deadline rosters are expanded. He doesn't have to be sent down.

I think that they will take their time with Valimaki to ensure his game speed is good.
