The Flames occasionally do things that frustrate or annoy me and I think to myself "that's it...I'm out". But then they start something like this and I'm right back in!

Yeah, I was gonna say something similar. With what seems like a move towards retros (both home and away) becoming fulltime jerseys, and now Scorch returning, Flames Marketing is on a good roll!

It's called so bad it's good.
A child/family friendly mascot that plays it safe just doesn't compare in the attention grabbing factor to a walking trainwreck that was born out of the flames of a town fire that smugly walks on the corpses of firefighters to promote himself in what looks like a dollar store contraption of a suit who can shuffle like a leprachaun high on infinite swagger and his own pheromones as he pierces your dreams and nightmares with his giant googley eyes that discern no clear intent or emotion.
That, my friend, is why he is in fact the best. The GOAT, even.

If they bring back Scorch, and his new attitude is acting like a condescending POS who goes into business for himself, he'll surpass Gritty as the best mascot in the NHL IMO.
