Disappointed Healey was sent down.

Most fit player at the July development camp. I thought he showed well through the rookie games thus far. I was hoping he'd get an extended look this year.

They're probably giving Schneider an extra day or two to recover from the China trip before sending him down.

Healey seemed very physical, and dependable in the viewings I got of him. Even O. Mattson looked really stable to me.

Ehliz was a disappointment. Never looked like a player that could play in the NHL. If he couldn't stand out against the sub-par competition as a 25 year old then it's not looking good. At least 90% chance he is back in Germany next season.

Yeah, of this list I was most intrigued by Ehliz going into camp. Honestly, mostly because of his videos. He had good hands, but being such an early cut doesn't bode well for him.

I was actually intrigued by Ehliz. Good speed and was pretty noticeable to me in Vancouver. Would've liked to have seen him play at least one more game.

Ehliz was a lot like Lazar to me. Fast, but no finish.

Flames are playing back to back tonight and tomorrow. I can imagine that there will be some deep and wide cuts come Sunday afternoon.

I guess the other big pinch point is the start of the Heat camp, whenever that is.

I love the heavy hitters and truculent type but Healey's puck skills and decision making just isn't NHL level. I'm not sure it's even AHL level.

He can skate, he can hit, he's a pro, but the skill just isn't there.

I would have liked to see him in some more pre-season games just to see him lay out some of our rivals, but that's not really building a hockey team to win.

Any one not bolded is going to be on the next 1 or 2 roster cuts.

I also feel like they will give Pollock, Gadwin and Dube extended looks but I don't they make the team.

I would guess Peluso will be exception, I would not be surprised if he is the 13th or 14th forward.

They need him to play tonight.

After today's cuts, they're basically down to 2 full rosters. With the guys who went to China being given an extra day off, they need everyone else to give them a full roster tonight.

They're bringing 13 forwards to Winnipeg tonight (12 plus one spare in case someone gets hurt in warm-up), which leaves only the China trip players in Calgary.
