Seems reasonable for them to at least consider feedback and include different levels of notification. From what I understand, they're all "Presidential" level in Canada where it's the same notification for a imminent nuclear strike versus an Amber alert at 3 am on the other side of the province. Would seem reasonable that one provide an actual audible alarm to wake you up versus just a text notification when you see when are awake. Nevermind the legitimate complaints about multiple alarms for a single amber alert being sent multiple times in various languages and cancellations throughout an evening of sleep.

EDIT: Given the population concentration and subsequent frequency of alerts in Ontario, it's interesting to see the feedback and the "OMG THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!!!" social media push back.

It's absolutely the wrong thread for this, but in the future, aren't chances high that the person kidnapping a child is also getting the amber alert? They aren't likely to continue driving a certain vehicle, or remain in a certain area if they've been tipped off what information police have.

“Balls are going to be a little lopsided,” the pilot said. According to the transcript, the officers engaged in some serious deliberation over the direction and width of the shaft. However the fruit of their labour gradually took notable shape.

That was boring. It would have been cool to see someone doing something out of the ordinary.
