Still hoping this game goes to 100 innings and both teams lose

Help, save, whatever.

No matter who wins I'll be cheering for the Rays in the next round.

Obviously not looking good for NY. 3 runs behind seems unlikely with the way they're hitting, that they'll come back.

Nothing like hearing A-Rod talk gibberish the entire 3 hours. Speaking in cliches, how good in the clubhouse this guy is, that guy is, etc., etc. Wish he'd just shut up and let the game sounds play to the viewers ears.

Can't really cheer for anyone in left in the AL other then the White Sox I guess. And not a huge fan of them with that clown of an announcer in Harrelson and the arrogant Kenny Williams.

This was a disappointing ending for a long time, die hard Yankees fan… but that is sports. Fans of only one team are happy at the end of the season. It’s been 12 long years since the last WS win.
Is it the wildcard single elimination format that beat us? No.
Is it one of those mid-summer late game meltdowns? No - every team has a few of those.
Is it divisional alignment, ump strike zones, length of schedule? No.
Boston outplayed New York. Plain and simple. No excuses. Congrats and best of luck in the DS.
That’s why they play 162 games. The best teams make it. The better teams advance. Your team didn’t make it, even by a small margin? Oh well, they had 6 months to climb the standings. Lose the single elimination game? Too bad, get better. Don’t change the rules, schedule, divisions, officials… change the team and get better. Boston was better tonight and that’s all that counts.
2022 will bring change for my team. New manager - maybe. New acquisitions - likely. I’m happy I cheer for a team that goes for it every year, and where the thought of missing the post season is mortifying. Looking forward to stepping through the turnstiles of Gate 4 next summer.
Enjoy the offseason (mostly) Jays fans. The East will be a killer next year again. Would you have it any other way?

Feels like it could be 12 more years at least. The Old Man isn't there anymore and it seems pretty clear Hal isn't going to be anywhere near as ruthless about winning. If the Old Man was running that team no way Boone makes it past the first couple months this year, instead there's a chance he comes back under Hal, despite clearly not being a good manager.

Oh for sure, given the lack of hard cap in MLB and the complete crapshoot the draft is, absolutely just like, go get better everyone, it's a totally even playing field for every team, ####.

I may have mentioned this 10 years ago, but the last three “1” years had all-time great World Series. ‘91 Twins-Braves was probably the best ever, easily the best in my memory. ‘01 D-Backs-Yanks was something special, especially in the shadow of 9/11, and ‘11 Cards-Rangers was a fun one, with an all-time crazy Game Six (sorry Maritime-Q-Scout). Hopefully if it holds we’ll be treated with another classic.

What even was that post?
It's got some major Pete Alonso "you're lucky to get to watch baseball" vibes to it. Where there could possibly be some good intentions behind it but it's just layered with the condescending belittlement from an entitled Yankees fan.
Oh how it must be nice to sit upon the throne of quarter billion dollar payrolls and watch the MLB cater to your every need.

NO kidding. The "Im happy to cheer for a team that goes for it every year." Like it's hard for the Yankees to go for it every year.
Stars wana play on that team? yes
Have insane amount of resources? yes
Biggest market in the states? yes
Must be tough to go for it every year.

Dave Roberts just pulled Max Scherzer at 94 pitches in the 5th inning of a one-game elimination.
He's either going to look a genius or an idiot if the Cardinals blow this open.

It's hindsight at this point, but with Joe Kelly as the guy replacing with, it total made sense.
Side note, the betting line favouring the Dodgers seems super tipped for them. Don't forget that St.Louis went 17 games in a row winning. I put money down on St.Louis winning.

It would be nice if LA lost, but seems unfair a 100 win team can get eliminated in one game.

Battle of 2 of the nicest uniforms in sports.
It is kind of neat to see Wainwright, Molina, and Pujols all on the same field for a playoff game again.

True but a Dodgers-Giants series would be one for the ages.
