The good news for the Bears is the defense looks the same so they'll just need league average QB play from Trubisky and they'll be fine. But that might not be a given at all, Trubisky has some big issues he still needs to solve.

Wonder if the 2nd and 5 pass was Rodgers and his newly allowed ability to change a play at the line?

Agree with the above poster, this is the result of no preseason game action. Dreadful.

Every year we talk and talk, and every year it seems to be the same franchises by and large that win.

I'm not sure you want to call that the Packers winning. That was the Bears losing.

I mean, you watched that, right? Are you at all afraid of the Packers right now if you're the Vikings next week? I'm certainly not.

He played league average comfortably last year for about 12/16 games. One game doesnt end a season.

Trubisky didn't look good tonight but neither rdidn the offense in general. The defense was great and will provide the Bears a winning shot most weeks.

Still early - let’s check back in December.

The packers played the Bears pretty well, but the Bears held a a HOF QB to 10 points their defense is still top end.

One thing that really shows how much the lack of pre-season playing time impacted both teams was the penalty count.

Both teams took 10 penalties totaling 107 yards for the Bears and 71 for the Packers.

Also the one thing that Trubisky doesn’t really have is a premier weapon. Good depth at the skill positions but Who on that team really scares you at WR, TE, or RB. And he’s not at the level to turn average players into elite threats like a Brady or Rodgers.

Give the Bears and Packers credit for playing to a 1919 score.

that one's just bad. Don't think Chicago's receiving corps is anything to gush about, but it's decent enough. Trubisky just seems to make too many wrong decisions and also lack vision.

It's hard to draw any conclusions from week 1 of the NFL regular season as it's essentially preseason football that counts in the standings. Packers defense impressed me but how much of that was due to Trubisky looking like he was starting his first NFL game? For all the talk about coaching changes the Packers offense looked just as vanilla as last season and the only time they really made any plays was when Rogers was playing sandlot football which brings me to another issue. Rogers really didn't look very good and I'm beginning to wonder that regardless of the offensive coordinator this is just what he is now in a guy that wants to hold on to the ball as long as possible because he wants to keep that completion percentage high and interceptions low as possible. He holds on to the ball way too long and it has to be pretty hard on the offensive line.

Very bad. I feel sorry for Bears fans

80 was so wide open. Even if he didn’t see him, that gap down the middle was so empty, Trubisky could’ve just ran it in

Wow, that reminds me of one of my bantam QB's that I just started coaching up.

The Bears really aren't in as good a situation as many believe as they won't be able to keep this team together and haven't brought in a lot of young talent to replace some of the players they won't be able to keep going forward. Raiders have their 1st round pick this year so it's kind of a win now team this season.

If only they had stayed pat at 3 two years ago instead of trading a bunch of picks to move up one spot and draft Mariota 2.0.

If Trubisky bombs this season they are kind of in a pickle as they won't have the cap space to sign a guy like Mariota 1.0 who could hit free agency if the Titans cut bait and they won't have a 1st round pick until 2021 to draft a highly rated QB. They are stuck with him as their starting QB for another season at least.

This is a pretty crazy stat. Trubisky was crap but the play calling might be one of the worst games we've ever seen called.
