I did, however, laugh quite loudly when after all that, Gabriel still gives him the ol morning star to the head. That was unexpected and hilarious.

A little bit of me hopes he comes back. In the WD world he could survive a hit to the head and cause problems in the future.

I'd love a dual story line, large main protagonist coupled with rouge revengeful nutcase.

The only good thing about it is that the plot advanced 1/4 step at the end.

Yep, that was pretty awful. I was looking at my phone pretty much the entire episode.

I mean I get it, the ending will not be fulfilling or worth the pain, but I need to see this through.

I gave up on the show around season seven or so but I check this thread to see if it's gotten better. I can see it has not.

I don't like to quit a show before it ends either (I watched every episode of Weeds FFS) but I couldn't handle all of the fake deaths and unused chances to kill the bad guy.

Yup, another boring and pointless episode. But I'm like you guys, I'm still gonna gut this out and watch until the end.

Thankfully it looks like next week will be a Negan-centric episode that focuses a bit on his back story, so I'm gonna go ahead and assume that it'll be big improvement over these last couple of episodes. Negan is hands down the best character on the show at this point, and I have no idea why they don't feature him more often.

I assume all these episodes are either covid or budget related? Basically featuring 1-3 actors per episode, so they only really have to be around for a short period of time. Probably not great for their pay.



I also noticed in this weeks episode that a lot of the walkers were shot on out-of-focus cam, probably to save on doing makeup. Occasionally one face comes into focus, and that's the walker that gets killed. Other times they just do it all off camera.

Came in to say the same. After the last several being awful I was about to write off the rest until I saw the title of last nights episode and figured if any character could do it, it's Negan.

Really cool origin story. Man they made him look young too.

The make up/CGI was astounding. Nice job.
