It is a quiet Sunday OOT, but, it is set up to be a continuous triple header. Make
it a quadruplet header with the Flames game at the end. The Avs-Knights game
is the best one to watch as both teams have something to play for in the western
conf. standings. The season series has each team winning with a shutout. The
Hurricanes have won 4 straight games and can still catch the Rangers for top spot in the east.

i greatly enjoyed the vegas/av's pregame stuff where the tnt guys were talking about the hart trophy for this year.

pretty much all agreeing that it's a 3-way tie between mackinnon, matthews and kucherov. pretty much no mention on mcdavid except for how bad the oilers were to start the season.
it's so nice to not have to hear sportsnet's orange koolaid!

The Avalanche seemed to have recovered from yesterday's embarrassing loss. They have a 3-0 lead over the Knights after forty minutes. The offense is spread out evenly as nine players each have one point. Georgiev has stopped all 17 shots so far..

Meh, maybe my Leaf hatred showing through, but I think McDavid a better choice than Matthews. We've seen this week what the Oilers look like without him. But I don't really think the 3rd guy matters; I think it's between Kucherov and MacKinnon, and for me it's easily Kucherov, who is 52 points ahead of his closest teammate, while MacKinnon (and Rantanen) get an obscene amount of ice time.

Tonight's game is huge for the upside down standings. If Calgary beats Arizona, the Flames will pass Seattle in the standings and the Flames will have the 9th OA pick. If the Flames lose to Arizona, then they will be tied with the Coyotes, but still ahead due to games played.
