Drew Remenda reminds me of guys who drive a white windowless panel van past middle schools on their way to games. Yes, the guy is creepy as ####.

Nick Kypreos says that the Oilers asked Hitch to be more positive in and out of the dressing room. Or they will go to a guy like GG.

Did they really tell Hitch to shut up or get canned? That's gotta be a first in the NHL.

lol

Kypreos on HNIC they are saying that the Oilers management want Hitchcock to be more positive

if he isn't, it wouldn't surprise him if they turn to Gulutzan for the rest of the season

This is why we need to put a stop to inbreeding in Edmonton.

So the HNIC panel said that Hitch had publically called out the team, it had been addressed, and they wanted to be more positive both externally and internally... or give Gulutzan the bench?

How in the heck does that fix the culture issues, or instill any kind of accountability?

“Don’t like the coach? He said the coaches shouldn’t care more than the players? Oh my. Ok. Off he goes.”

Don’t ever change, Edmonton

Has any other team ever fired/replaced 2 coaches in the same season before?

And we are to believe that the OBC is not in charge there and they stay out of hockey related matters? Was it the interim GM that that decided to put Hitch on notice?

Never change Oilers.

Maybe it’s better that way. Do we really want Edmontonians polluting the rest of the gene pool?

Has McJesus ever disliked two head coaches in a season?

I can't wait for post Oilers Hitch press conference.

Oilers have had some great Saturday night pressers since Hitch was brought in.

There was 2 early on where he was disgusted, then the fluff piece on after hours after the Flames game, and then of course last weekends “coaches want it more” one, which left Kypreos offended, which may well have him injecting his own opinion as fact as far as replacing Hitchcock...but I am sure he asked some Oilers execs and they likely confirmed Nicks own outrage, so he develops his own suggestion and passes them on as fact.

Well, at least my prediction that GG will never again be a head coach for an NHL team isn't in jeopardy.

I have to say the Oilers ability to be this no good, with McD on the team, is actually impressive, I mean we have seen teams flounder with a really good player before but they at least float around the playoff bar generally, the lack of effort it must take organizationally to be so no good that not only do they cancel out McD but even manage to sink the team into territory normally reserved for teams that have sold off every ounce of talent in order to get down to Oilers level of no goodness.

Relish it Gentleman, this is beyond generational levels of no goodness, this is historically no good the likes of which we will never see again.

The great thing is Oiler fans hate him, think he's too critical and anti-homer.

Is there anyone less equipped than Gulutzan at managing frustration under pressure as it bottles up for several months??...the encore to stick throw gate is going to be cant miss television..

Oilers and GG deserve each other...
