Not sure what rags you’re referring to as I get my news from the sources as it happens and that interview was awkward. There’s an LNG terminal currently under construction in Kitamat, could that not be used in the future for exports instead of just saying NO?

He didn't say no. That's my point. There's a limited number of news sources that had screeds about Trudeau saying "no" to Germany. He didn't say that. Here's what he said:
"He said the priority is on immediate solutions and existing infrastructure. “Right now our best capacity is to continue to contribute to the global market to displace gas and energy that then Germany and Europe can locate from other sources,” Trudeau said"
That is, send the gas West to Kitimat. The federal government doesn't decide who buys the gas, but it would be more expensive for Germany to buy from the west than other sources
Edit: Kitimat is West dummy

The 'no' that people are probably talking about would be when Trudeau allowed the mayor of Montreal to stop Energy East.

He's not though. He keeps referring to Trudeau saying "no" instead of using the west coast LNG, when he literally said we can't help in the short term on the east coast but can use the west coast LNG terminal

Which conservative ideals does the UCP uphold?
The one where they loudly decry the culture wars, and then gleefully position their entire identity around it?
When was the last time the UCP did something fiscally responsible that can't be directly tied to kick-backs or nepotism?

Ya, and it’s super hard to dupe liberal voters lol, two term of voting for a creep/moron at the federal level. But I don’t necessarily disagree with your original point.

I was talking about the voters, not the party itself.

I don’t mind Notley but if there’s still a Trudeau/Singh coalition at the federal level I don’t think I’ll be voting NDP here.

Well under the Harper government the approval process was changed and transmountain was approved under it. Several groups sued and said the regulatory process wasn’t followed or the regulatory process didn’t meet the minimum requirements. Those groups won and the approval was killed by the courts. At this point Kinder Morgan went to to the Canadian government asking them to guarantee the permit. (Trudeau government). They didn’t at the time so kinder Morgan said they would stop construction and then the Trudeau government bought the line, successfully completed regulatory, the regulatory withstood another court challenge and now it’s a matter of time before it’s completed.
I’m trying to be non-partisan here but Harper screwed this one up and potentially Trudeau could have underwrote KMs losses rather than buying the line. Whether buying or underwriting losses was the better choice or if KMs plan was to divest regardless we don’t know.
I don’t understand the logic of is Singh/Trudeau is present than Notley shouldn’t be. I’d argue the Transmountain pipeline was bought because Notleys carbon tax gave Trudeau political cover. Not sure a Smith type government gets that treatment. Though that is pure speculation.
I agree with you on Trudeau I’d much rather have Carney or Freeland.

You know you are on shaky ground when you reference something Tyler Shandro did for justification.

Wouldn't the fact that Shandro did it be justification that the act isn't needed in the first place?

I’d argue doesn’t know anything about it and trolling the thread with it but I’m always interested in hearing legitimate discussions about policy.
