It's after the trade deadline. From what I recall he plays the season out doesn't he?

Thanks for reminding me about something.
A few weeks ago, in my hunt for a d-man, I noticed the Nucks have Matt Carle. He retired in November.

Should give them a 5 win penalty in the standings.

And yes, I meant win.

Depends whether it is effective immediately or for the end the NHL season?

Quote:
· If a player retires at the end of their NHL season, they will be allowed to complete their CPHL season
· If the player retires before the completion of their NHL season then they retire in the CPHL right awayFor example. If Gary Roberts announced his retirement tomorrow and stopped playing – he will be retired in the CPHL.If Gary Roberts announced tomorrow he is retiring at the END of his season – he can complete his CPHL season. If Gary Roberts season ends in 2 weeks, and he announces his retirement at that point – he can complete his CPHL season

Wow, his 1st should be forfeited. Ridiculous!

So he didn't play this season at all? In that case I think he's retired immediately

Carle confirmed to be retired too.
Both will be removed tomorrow and I believe buyouts have to be triggered for both.
