I mean, Pierre is a dummy. He treated a top-level hockey player like a child. Would he have done it if she wasn’t female, and say, a male NHL player? You know what, yes, probably, because he’s a weirdo. But surely we can agree as men that we’re not great judges at what is/isn’t offensive to a woman. Even Kendall said she would have been upset if she had watched it happen to someone else. But it’s all good.
Didn't she said that she didn't find the comment offensive, and knew there wasn't any intention, but could see how one thinking it is, would take offense? Not that she would've been upset herself if it was someone else. Unless there's a quote saying she would be?

Excuse me we like to say people-splaining

Hey oh!

During the run in 03-04 Pierre was on the panel and they were setup outside the Dome. I got up real close and hollered, "Hey McGuire...Synergy is the best stick in the NHL"...Bob McKenzie turned around and was busting a gut laughing at that one. Pierre tried to come back with a retort but was all marbles.

Ha. Cool Story...

yeah, but she's a woman, so she obviously needs a man to tell her how she should feel?

I thought only women are allowed to tell other women how to feel.

I watched the clip and was definitely waiting for something that never came.

I’m not sure there’s a difference in what we’re saying, but here’s the quote:
Quote:
I went back and looked at the video. I understand why people would think it was inappropriate; if I were watching it at home and saw a man say this to a woman athlete, I would have been offended.
The point being, she wasn’t offended, but as a woman, she gets it, she would’ve been offended if she watched it happen to someone else.

But Cecil isn’t offended. And that’s all that really matters.

Where did I say that? I was offended. As an athlete though, not as a woman. All non-athlete opinions are irrelevant to me and should not be commenting on how us athletes feel about PMs poor choice of words.

I don’t know if rewatching old episodes of the Simpsons alone is considered athletic, but hey, keep that Olympic dream alive you crazy diamond.
