The last thing I want to see is a nuclear attack or response. That would get out of hand in a hurry.
I mean its almost too late, from what I'm seeing the Russian's are moving incredibly fast, its going to be literally too late for NATO and the American's by the time they decide, and battle would be to liberate Ukraine from a dug in Russian Military, with Russia controlling the air, and the sea.
IIRC and maybe someone knows better but under Operation Unifer there are Canadian Special Forces members in the Ukraine as well as other trainers there and in Poland.

Flattening Moscow will certainly lead to a nuclear exchange between NATO and the American's and Russia. And it would be a nuclear exchange on a strategic and not tactical level, that means a city busting war.

From my own sources there are definitely explosions going on in Kiev, and Kharkiv. It’s quiet in the Poltava region. So far it has mostly bypassed the populated areas. However there wes footage of a couple of shells landing within the kharkiv city confines. Most of the roads out of the city and to gas stations are under traffic jams.
That’s all I have. I hope Ukrainian just doesn’t retaliate, but I doubt it.

Isn't Moldova Belarus-lite? Why would Russia attack one of the few semi-sympathetic countries in the region? Look at a map of the EU, its a NATO firewall and then Ukraine, Moldova, and Belarus sitting there....sweating over Russia's proximity

I spent about 6 weeks in Ukraine back in 2010, visiting a good friend of mine in Kiev. I got to travel to places like Lviv and Odessa, and got to know her circle of friends who were all then just starting out in their lives after university.
If you had told them then that this would be happening today, it would have surprised none of them. Russia has been a cold shadow looming over Ukraine since its independence, dimming the hopes and expectations of generations of young Ukrainians who have always sensed that their future as a western democracy might be a fever dream.
It saddens me so much to see their fears and most pessimistic expectations validated. It makes me sick to think how they must be feeling now. And it makes me really angry.
