Yep.
One recent morning, Jack Ming Jie Lin, a Columbia University tennis player, informed his chemistry professor that he needed to reschedule Tuesday night’s lab because he had another engagement.
“Look,” he said he told his professor, “I have a very important match Feb. 12 and I understand that we’re supposed to have lab session that Tuesday night, but unfortunately, I can’t make it that night.”
Instead of chemistry class, Lin, a 19-year-old sophomore, will be playing his first ATP Tour main-draw match, at the New York Open at Nassau Coliseum. Lin earned a wild card into the first round of the professional event by winning a college invitational in November at Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Thirty-two players from 16 New York-area universities, including Army, Cornell, Princeton and St. John’s, competed in the tournament, where Lin beat Alafia Ayeni of Cornell, 6-7 (3), 6-3, 7-6 (5), in a final that lasted three and a half hours.
Lin’s appearance at the New York Open is a rare opportunity for an amateur to test himself against the pros.

Two huge wins for Milos and Denis at a pretty big event. The next round is no joke, it would astounding if both won and squared off in the quarters. Milos is simply better than Stan at this point and should win this match, but Denis will be in tough. Berdych is off to a sizzling start at 10-3 this season. Would easily be the kids biggest win since taking down Cheung last October.

PHH takes the opening set 6-3 over Nishikori - The seventh game was the key as PHH saved five break points to hold serve and then broke Kei in the very next game.

Going to a third and deciding set as Nishikori takes set 2 6-1. PHH's level of play certainly dropped in that 2nd set.

Wow another unbelievable upset about to happen, this time in Rotterdam as Khachanov is on his last rights.
Meanwhile is the Dream run about to end for Last week's Cordoba Open champ Londero? Currently down 5-3 in the 1st set.

It's not every day that you lose to the 221st ranked player in the world after taking the first set.

Well at least KK has Stan's shoulder to lean on if he needs someone to sympathize with losing to Griekspoor I guess.

Brayden Schnur moves on in the battle of Canadians at the New York Open - I watched a little of the match and I think a bunch of Jack's friends from Columbia University were in attendance.
