Hey, guys. I'm leaving to head out of town and away from the Internet for a couple days unexpectedly.
I'll take Rich & Dom when it's my turn. If getbak takes that pair, I'll go with Emily & Molly
Cheers!

This is a way better show when you know the last place team is going home.

Not a good start for my teams, but a fun episode. Strange how the teams were so clumped together, despite going to different tasks.

"The last team to check in will be eliminated."
This week, the race kicks off in Munich and the teams can do the challenges in any order, so no one (including us) knows where anyone is relative to the rest.
I'm not sure why Marcus & Michael and Tim & Rex were able to check in without their backpacks.
- Derek & Claire (win $2,500 each... not as a Marshalls gift card)

Not too impressed with either of my teams. I figured a husband/wife team would work together better, but it doesn't seem like it. Also, I'm raising an eyebrow at my 'motivational speaker' breaking down and whinging about how hard it is multiple times (this episode, and the previews for next week).
I do like the "WILL be eliminated" part, too.

I struggled to find a likeable team to cheer for.
The elimination every leg is great, no more "wasted" episodes.

I also found that. I guess I liked Rex Ryan and his buddy the best, but it's the best of a bad bunch for me.

I don't think Rex and Ryan are long for the game...

Haha, yeah I agree. Poor Rex was in rough shape after that keg roll!

I was a fan of this for a first episode. It's great to not know who is in first, while also not really having challenges where the teams could help each other. This felt like a race where everyone was doing their own thing (until T-Rex at the mat and whomever they were WALKING with). Overall I have high hopes for this season to go back to old school Amazing Race

I was looking at my PVR schedule for the week and it looks like this week's Survivor and TAR episodes are both 90 minutes long.

Well well well - Perhaps Linton and Sharik might just come in as a dark horse here. Things are looking up!!
I love the scramble idea, not knowing who is winning or where you are in the race was a great concept.
I also really think the producers were dealt a gem when the second last team spotted the last team coming into the tunnel. That was a great reveal of “not being last”
Last observation - I find Tims teeth to be a huge distraction. If they are doing challenges in the desert on this race he will be able to reflect the sun into someone’s eyes just by smiling at them…. Advantage T-Rex
