Default Michael Jordan in Basketball Hall of Fame

As per TSN text alert, MJ, David Robinson and John Stockton were all elected to basketball's hall of fame.

My only question is what took so long for MJ? Do they have a waiting period longer then the three years in the HHOF?

Player: A player must be fully retired for five years before being eligible for Enshrinement. He/she may then be considered for Enshrinement in the sixth year of retirement.

No exceptions. Not like the weird NHL Hall of Fame.

Jordan retired (the final time) in 2003. This was the first year he was eligible to be in the hall.

All time leading scorer in terms of PPG. Wilt is 2nd.

Best player ever. That Bulls dynasty could be the last dynasty we see for a long time.
