That safety call was absurd. On average, Calgary ends up 20 yards away from FG attempt, vs an average of about 50 yards away from a TD.
If I’m in charge of the team, making that call is a durable offence.

4-2 with this many injuries including your all star QB is a accomplishment.
I've said over the last couple of weeks that ball security is a huge concern and receivers helping out their QB.
On that last fumble, as a coach I'd be fuming at the ball handling on that play, I mean really fuming.
But in the end this team has shown a lot of good character. If this team is a couple of games over .500 when Bo gets back, they'll contend for the division title.

I can't even grasp the rationale for the call. It would seem he didn't have confidence in his D but it was easier for the Stamps to work it into FG range than get a TD.
If they were up by 5, I would understand giving up the 2 so at minimum get to OT.
But that was completely irrational.

If you are ok with giving up a safety there, why are you doing vanilla running plays on first and second down? A first down runs a minute off the clock, and worst case scenario, leaves Calgary with 30 seconds left on the clock?
