More to the point, a hit like that has ZERO place in the games. A player like Reaves has ZERO place in the game.

You want to get rid of hits like that you're likely having to ban hitting altogether. Nhl will end up being like women's hockey.

Call up Kylington. If he plays solid hockey it helps solve the problem of who plays on the left side once Brodie is shipped out.

With what we know about concussions there is no place for that hit.
Checking needs to be about separating puck from player. Anything more than that should be dealt with severely.
It's where the sport must go.
But more than that, even under the current rules that hit was way over the line.
Why does he need to hit him that hard?

didn't see the game, but did Hamonic or Ferland confront Reaves for that hit?

Hamonic went over and had a chat but passed on an actual fight, which is probably smart because Reaves is a monster.
Then Hathaway also jawed at him which caused off-setting penalties.
Hamonic could have been hurt badly by Reaves in a fight. Glad he didn't drop 'em.
Again - no place for guys like Reaves in the game.

Really? Reaves largely won Vegas the game. I’d say there’s a place for him.

With any luck this was the last game Brodie plays in a Flames jersey. He is the poster boy for everything that is wrong with this team.

No.
If this is his last game as a Flame, that means he is hurt pretty badly. No one wants to see that. I'm on the trade him bandwagon, but there is no reason he shouldn't play out the season.
I have zero issue with the hit what so ever, it's just a part of the game and sometimes guys get hurt because of it. Hate to see injuries, but again that's what they have all signed up for and get compensated very very well for it.

Nothing clean about that hit.
Should be a suspension.

Yeah, total insult intended, but you're a poster boy for what's wrong with the hockey fanbase.
You're basically saying that you're happy if he's injured.
That's pretty much being a classless jerk.

If I could thank a post 1000 times this would be the one. Some fans should move up North were toxic behaviour is welcomed.

Hamonic cross checked him a couple times but you could see it was very apparent Hamonic knew all too well not to drop the gloves with that guy.
I honestly don't think Hamonic of Ferland stand a chance against a guy like reaves. Thats beggin for a head injury of some sort.

I think Ferland would hold his own against Reaves because Ferly can sure punch hard, but, yep, the head injury possibility is very real.

Don't we have a goon somewhere? That last game against Vegas, bring him up and have him do nothing but punch Reaves' face in. The intend of that hit was blatantly clear, for a big body like him, he doesn't need to leave his feet, but he did.

Yeah, not to disagree, but I'm goanna (spelling intentional) disagree with you here.
While Ferland hits hard, and he does, Reaves is a killer.

ferland is more of a wild swinger and falls down type and not really a toe to toe face puncher like Reaves.
