Sprong is buried beneath the RW depth of the Pens. As someone mentioned, I think he would be a solid add. He'd be a our potential 1st line RW. Just got to give one of our defenseman prospects to grab him.

He's played 70+ games in each of the past 5 seasons. He had some problems early on so maybe there's a bit of concern there, but I don't think it's as bad as it might seem.

I'd love to add Skinner if possible. Him or Hoffman would be at the top of my list.

Agreed. I see Canes writers and fans grumble about how Canes Coach utilizes Skinner as well (often on 3rd line I believe).

I thought the consensus was we are a butter soft team. How does Skinner help that? Good player but doesn’t seem to fit our desire for power forward. I’d also say our trading chips on D are not what Carolina needs. They’re as deep or deeper than we are.
