Why would you put Chatwood into the exact same situation he's ruined 3 times recently.
Charlie Montoyo needs to be fired - change my mind

Wow.
This is not very fun anymore.
The bullpen needs to be addressed somehow.
That's like 5 or 6 games the bullpen has blown in the last 4 weeks IIRC.
This team should be about 10 games above .500 right now.
Brutal.

I hear Joey Bats wants to make a comeback and pitch in the bigs. Apparently he's hitting mid 90's. Sign him up for the pen Shatkins and lets see some Rosin flips.

Is it crazy for me to think blue jays should be sellers? I don't mind trading Semien we could get a nice package for him.

Jesus. Romano has "forearm tightness" and that's why he wasn't available tonight.
This season is a ####ing joke. Between the bull#### schedule and every decent high leverage reliever we have spending massive amounts of time on the IL I can't believe the Jays are even .500

Honestly, I would. As long as they're not going to address anything else in the name of this being a rebuilding year with surprise results. Just do one or the other.
Wil the Jays re-sign Semien for what he'll command and if they would, will Semien sign here or test free agency? If the answer is likely yes, and you're not going to shore anything up then absolutely get as much as you can for him.

I would not trade Semien. I'm not in the locker room but he seems to be a leader on a very young lineup. Who would you get for a FA like him? I say you sign him to a very lucrative two year deal in the off-season but keep him now.

At worst you give him the QO and recoup a 2nd round draft pick. Not the worst. Regardless I don’t think they make the decision to sell or not for another month. Remember at this point in 2015 the Jays were below .500 and then went on a run. Let’s see how they do once they start playing some bad teams for once.

Yup, every team has injuries. Minus Springer our whole fielding lineup has been pretty healthy this season. The relievers have been a bit banged up. happens to every team.... depth and managing need to overcome.

Team is 31-30 and in 4th place in the division.
They're only 4 back of the wild card though, and they have a +31 run differential. It's a travesty that this team is only 31-30 right now.
They also have key pieces coming back in Springer and Kirk hopefully in the next couple of weeks, and the schedule shouldn't be as difficult going forward.
There is a lot of things going for them if they can hold it together for a while longer. Well, the offense is fine and the starters have been rounding into form, so really it's the bullpen that needs to hold it together more than anything else.

This is why I was saying you need to wait until July to even think about making adds. If they win 13 of the next 20, sure. Otherwise, nope.

Show me the team out there that has had worse injuries to key players than the Jays.
I never said they need to be 100%.
They have had 4-5 of their best high leverage relievers on the IL pretty much all season, and the guys that are healthy are starting to fall apart because of it.

Yep.
Losing Yates, Phelps, Merryweather, Borucki, Hatch, Cole, Murphy, Milone, Bergen, and now Romano again, and previously Dolis for a bit. That is absolutely insane. Guys like Thornton, Castro, Edwards Jr, are not high leverage guys and being forced into high leverage situations. There just simply are not enough arms in any system to absorb the loss of almost 11 relief pitchers. It sucks. I don't really see a way out of it right now other than just waiting for Borucki, Cole and Hatch to get better soon. Teams know we are desperate for bullpen help and won't be doing us any favors with their asking prices.
Bichette also has to be better with his throw to first there.
Frustrating!

They for sure, should not be sellers....
Jay's should perform the exact opposite
Going into the season their starters (pitching) were not good enough
Relief pitching has sustained a crap load of injuries...
Key question the Jays have to examine is why....
