Habs have a useable lineup but will still be looking for a few upgrades before puck drop:

Anderson-Mcdavid-Stone
We like the makeup of the top line. Anderson is a physical fast player so we hope he can complement McDavids speed and skill. Stone is an all around player and I hope his two way play will complete this line.


Meier-Suzuki-Gallagher
Suzuki’s skill is surrounded with two physical gritty goalscorers. We hope that this line can provide the secondary scoring needed.

Lehkonen-Bluegar-Perry
This line could use an upgrade. We would love this line as a 4th line. Bluegar and Lehkonen will be a big part of our PK and Perry will likely see some PP time.

Cozens-Kotkaniemi-Barbashev
Young 4th line, this line will not be relied upon to do much. Cozens is a guy we are super high on and can’t wait to get him in the lineup.

Nurse-Chabot
Nurse should be able to play a good defensive game and stabilize Chabot. This pairing could be boom or bust but I’m hoping that we can find some chemistry on this top pairing.

Larsson-Chairot
This will be our shutdown pair to start the season. Larsson is very one dimensional, but he is a defensive rock. We could use another puck mover to throw on this pair. It our D doesn’t jive look for one guy to move up with Nurse and Chabot to join the other.

Romanov-Kulikov
Steady 3rd pairing. Should be able to handle 3rd pairing minutes. The goal for this pairing is to be solid not spectacular.

Price
Rinne

Price is a playoff warrior. He had a rough start in the CPHL regular season but turned it up down the stretch and in the playoffs. If Rinne plays another NHL season than he will be a good backup for us.

We like the way the team is starting to come together, but I have no doubt that it will look very different come opening day.

[Jiri Hrdina]

Wild are anticipating a step back due to re-rates as several of our front line players had poor NHL short seasons. It'll be interesting to see where guys like Hischier, Eichel, Domi and Laine rate.

We will also be interested to see where Shesterkin rates as he could get a starter's rating in which case we may look at moving Gibson though he's been the bedrock of this franchise for a while.

Blueline could need some work depending on re-rates

We currently have a deeper top 6 than the start of last season. But could it be another case of too many top rated players? No idea what Kucherov will be rated so he may play anywhere from first line to 4th line. The good part is if he rates low we can lock him up 3 years on a cheap value contract. We still believe Bergeron and Stamkos can be a great 1-2 punch down the middle. We love the grit and physical play of Tkachuk and Landeskog. Toss in Panarin who has struggled to produce in the sim who knows what he will do but hoping if we partner him with Bergeron he can get it going. I think we will bring back Kreider depending on his re-rate.

Kulak - Poolman

Not the best D right now, will need to add more DF guys and that is a priority of ours. Letang deserves to be signed, he is still one of the best D in the NHL putting up nice numbers. He is also a good D for us and plays top pair. Ekblad will play somewhere in our top 4 but we will be looking for a big DF minded guy.

MAF or Lehner
Vanecek

We can't afford to keep all our goalies so we will go with either MAF or Lehner. We are happy with Lehner on a good contract so are leaning on keeping him and will only sign and trade MAF if someone comes forward with a good enough offer for us to use close to 10mill in cap space. That is a big ask so he will likely hit the open market. Vanecek had a good NHL season which is not ideal because he may get a big raise as a RFA.

Pretty soft first line, but Reino and Poolparty should have good re-rates. Duclair should be ok as well

Again, not an all that physical line, RNH always has a good defensive rating. Appleton should have a good re-rate. Debrusk went poopy on me.

Stephenson - Joshua - Ennis
Stephenson is a C/LW. Ennis can play all three positions, Joshua is poopy

Neither are great shakes, but Stanley stands out for his checking and size
