St Louis moves Tavares

St Louis Picayuuuune (AP) - St Louis announced that it had traded John Tavares to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Ryan Nugent Hopkins and pick number 53 in the upcoming draft.

"John really never got a chance to play here, unfortunately. He was injured when he arrived". But we wanted to make a move, with him. With Ryan we get a forward that can play all three positions, and is a good defensive player who can take draws and play on the penalty kill. With Sam Reinhart's performance last year we felt that we could move John, and get someone who's a very good all around forward." Said GM Captain Crunch from his walled in estate in Florida.

"We will also save a little bit of money to go after free agents, and the 53 pick is a nice asset as we continue to try to improve our prospect base"

This is the second time that RNH has pulled on the ST Louis silks, and its expected that Crunch will start working with him on a contract extension right away.

Blue's notes -


Its rumored that Crunch has received a lot of interest in 23 year old stud defenseman Charlie McAvoy, but he's hesitant to trade him unless he gets a offer that is franchise shifting.

Crunch has a handful of RFA's to sign to new contracts. Sam Reinhart, Chandler Stephenson, Mason Appleton, Charlie McAvoy and Jesse Pulijujarvi will all be signed to long term deals. Its expected that Brett Howden and Louie Belpedio will not be qualified.

Crunch is going to be evaluating his AHL depth, while its improved he has 9 free agents to deal with and not all of them will be back as he hopes to improve through the draft and graduations from the Rivermen.

Expect the Blue's to be extremely busy in free agency. While the blueline looks good but young, the Blue's need more scoring in the top 6, and better options in the bottom 6 center slot. He could also try to improve through trades as well.
