If he can regain his form. BLM just got that much more dangerous in the CFL.

Ah yes, the dreaded physical. Here's hoping Eric is fine and ready to play some ball.

If he's still got that blinding speed, then this team has a deep threat that its really been missing for the last few years.

It's official! Mr.Rogers Neighborhood is returning to McMahon

In unrelated news (literally), the Stamps released QB Tyler Rogers on Monday. Looks like he played just two snaps against BC (a handoff and a sack). So much for Dave Dickenson's dad driving him to the border just to get him into camp -- we're now down to four QB's (Bo Levi, Stanzi, Brihm and Arbuckle).

Tonight's score is really lopsided, but is that indicative of a dominant Stamps performance or the RR just being poor?

Anyone know how the backup QB battle is going? Tough to tell without being able to see tonight's game.

Having um watched it, the Stamps defense and their depth looked dominant, the defensive line ate the Rider's o-line for breakfast, I think that's a combo of how good the Stamps front 7 is and the struggles of the Rider's oline throughout the pre season.

Williams was explosive on specials, the only concern to me was the running game as the holes just didn't open up.

Cheers, CC. I was only able to follow on social media and noticed Chris Jones had some unpleasant words about his team post-game.

Biggest cut from the Stampeders is WR Anthony Parker.

I'm not surprised, a few years ago when we were talking to a guy that I'm going to describe as a un named senior official who could be described as a very shrewd talent evaluator said to us that for all Anthony's physical gifts, he just mentally can't absorb complex offenses. If you want a hockey comparable, he's a yakupov

Yeah it's too bad because he has the talent to become a top Canadian receiver but just doesn't have the head. Even if he did know the plays it appeared at times like his head was elsewhere during some games.

The irony in cutting Parker now is that I think he was actually starting to play a lot better over the last couple of seasons for the Stamps. I wouldn't be surprised if he catches on with another CFL team.

I’m sure another team will give him a look. He’s as good or better than most Canadian receivers on a lot of teams. A few teams gave up on Kamau “Incompleterson” Peterson but he clicked in Edmonton for a few seasons.

A few notes on the roster moves:

Randy Colling, last year’s first round pick, got cut. Just didn’t seem to fit in; didn’t start off well with the whole knee brace issue last year during training camp.

Nick Truesdell, who caught two TD’s on Friday, also cut. At 6’6, this guy was a huge target so I thought he would have some pretty good upside. Too bad.

After a pretty good preseason, QB Nick Arbuckle wins a job out of camp, but Larry Brihm sticks around on the practice roster. I would expect Stanzi will be the backup on opening day but it will be a competition to see if he stays there (didn’t sense there was a lot of improvement from last season).

Four different QBs threw a TD for the Stamps - that has to be very unusual even for an Exhibition game.

More unusual is that they kept all four QB's. I figured one would have been released today.

According to Matt Rose on 960 this morning Brihm was a late addition to camp and the team wants to give him a longer look as he's athletic and has a big arm. If they like what they see and Arbuckle progresses it could be possible Stanzi may not be long for this team.
