IMO Benning would actually be a solid addition to play sheltered 3rd pairing minutes on the right side. RHS, solid 5 on 5 results, and one of only 2 Oiler defensemen with a positive goal share last season. He also lead the team the previous season.
Dom mentioned he could flourish in the right situation similar to how Demelo did this past season. A real good buy low candidate for depth on the right side.

some interesting players on the list... i would look at Koekoek and Kahun and Duclair for sure... even the others have some upside.. Verhaghe might be worth a look as TB scouting is excellent

Caps about to sign Lundqvist to a 1 year deal for 1.5 M as per McKenzie.
Holtby to either Calgary or Edmonton makes sense IMO.
