Nesterov is going to be a revelation for us this year. Book it.

Mackey is interesting.

Games in Stockton vs. Popcorn Row at the Saddledome.

so after 30 days or 10 NHL games, would Ryan clear waivers again? Do they take that risk? You'd think at some point, his remaining cap would make it more likely to be claimed

Yea I’d personally rather see Robinson get some games in before Ritchie.

Same goes for Kylington and Mackey instead of Stone.

Ryan >>>> Nordstrom. Hope the former plays far more games.

...this is a baffling take. I just don't follow dude. What are you basing this off (...unless you simply misplaced the green text)?

I would guess no -- even if you have breakthroughs from Bennett and/or some of the other wingers, I imagine you keep him for veteran depth. Or possibly trade him if another team has injuries, or if we need cap room for someone else coming here.

Without a doubt Ryan will play some games. He will just spend the majority of the off days on the taxi squad until he has to go through waivers again.

Sorry, I had it backwards before. Ryan is much, much better in every way.

So weird seeing a D group that doesn't include Brodie.

does Ryan need to pay the 20% escrow for his days on the taxi squad?

I wonder if Kylington were claimed off waivers, would Stone have been signed today?

I'm surprised to see Mackey on the taxi squad, but since the AHL isn't in action for another few weeks, I guess they could still send him down to get game action once Stockton starts playing.

They could then either bring Petrovic up to the taxi squad or sign Stone then.

Nordstrom's analytics are far below replacement level. I don't mind him around as an injury band-aid but there's no way he should be playing over Ryan.

Spoiler!

Don't overthink the Ryan vs Nordstrom lineup.

Ryan is on taxi cause his cap hit is more than $1.05M and Nordstrom's isn't.

Ryan going on taxi provides cap savings on non game days.
