One poster gave him the excuse that it's due to him having to endure two quarantines. Is any of this true? If any of it is even sort of true it's hilarious!
Sounds like their fans just want to oil up their star players.... all players need time to adjust and get up to speed, what a terrible opinion. If anything if they are really the best they would already be bringing more to the table than most other players. Even Iggy had his slow starts but you knew he would be bringing high levels of fitness, leadership and consistency through the rest of the season.

Lol ya, it's not like anyone could expect a career professional athlete with 10s of millions in earnings to have a home gym. Thoughts and prayers with the real meal family.

You can't take someone off the roster because they are out of shape. He is listed as non-roster, so it is likely Covid protocol.
They have $0 cap space, carry over bonus overages of $341k, and potential bonuses of $837k
They are completely unable to improve their roster, unless Holland can hypnotize someone into a trade.

The problem the Oilers have is they aren't getting derpth scoring it all. If they aren't getting points from the dynamic duo they are in big doo doo. Having to score 4 or 5 goals a game because of your goalie, is a lot to put on McDavid and Draisaitl.

Announcers (one is Olczyk) on the Penguin broadcast making fun of the Oilers. Talking about Smith going to LTIR and their desperation for a goalie. Saying they're in big trouble with Koskinen and are going to need McD and Drai to score 5 or 6 every night to have any chance.

Also the problem with the oilers is the 2 stars so hard done by from having to outscore their opponents to keep up with bad D don't even try to help support any semblance of D and therefore must score even more. It's a beautiful hole that continues to dig itself
