Absolute legend, at worst he's a top 10 rapper. That amount of high quality output from 1999-2004 is unmatched. Another one way too young.

Had no idea. I’ve listened to a ton of MF Doom recently and just posted a video on a what a lyricist he is. One of the goats for sure.

I can't believe this year is such garbage. I listen to Born Like This every month or so, really like that album. To find out right after watching the Brodie Lee tribute episode of Dynamite is a real toilet of a New year's Eve.

Not really a rap fan, but this video explains how amazing some rappers, specifically MF Dooom, are with rhyming.

That was a good primer. Extra points for calling out what I consider one of the best hustle raps that ever was made Aquemini.

That song takes cues from DOOM style. A meandering dense story, that flows, but is super introspective.

The setup is pure hustle "work the cheese, bread, and dough [endo]" is a DOOM style point in a point. Drug hustling. Andre also pulls a left turn right from the start "Once upon a time, there was a boy who died, and lived happily ever after, but that's another chapter" that is such DOOM flow.

Anyways, RIP DOOM. He was very clever. It was like watching Simpsons on Seinfeld multiple times, so dense you pick up on something like the 10th listen through. He also influenced a lot of the best lyricists and pushed them to be great by showing the way.
