Default What is in your liquor cabinet

I'm enjoying a Flor de Cana 12 year rum and wondering what's on your bar. I like to try others so genuinely interested.

I keep the following bottles on hand;
El Dorado 12 year rum
Flor de Cana 12 year rum
Captain Morgan Original Spiced rum
Alberta Premium rye whisky
Grey Goose vodka

I like a good drink at a good price so for the most part these are inexpensive too. I have more variety of rum because I find I enjoy more variety there. Alberta Premium is both cheap and great. What I save on rye I spend on vodka. Lol. I've never really gotten into scotch but if you want to go there as well, I'm all ears.

We already have a scotch thread so I'll skip that. I also like bourbon. Got some Bulleit, Bookers, and Knob Creek. Nothing special but bourbon isn't for fancy lads.

Everything else is pretty basic stuff for entertaining.

El Dorado is great. I was introduced to it in Guyana. At the time, I was used to what I thought was rum here, and couldn't drink it.

Mostly I drink Bourbon these days though. My favorites include Knobb Creek and Woodford Reserve.

My liquor cabinet is very well stacked. I pick up bottles all the time in duty free, but never drink by myself.

We always have vodka, usually Stoli, Belvedere, Grey Goose, or something from a local distillery, and Canadian Whisky, usually Crown or Wisers. At the moment we also have Sailor Jerry spiced rum I got as a gift.

We formerly had an epic collection of liqueurs including chili chocolate, hazelnut, melon, chai, black currant, and toffee which were excellent for after a meal or for cocktails. Unfortunately these were stolen when we recently moved.

Besides the usual:

Cachaca - sugar cane spirit used in Caipirinha (brazilian drink) favoured by Bourdain.

Pisco - grape spirit that tastes more like tequila than wine - used to make Pisco Sour.

Chambord - french raspberry liqueur good in many cocktails.

Nothing in mine. I don't drink hard liquor.

There might be a few bottles of beer in the fridge but that's about it.

- Park Gin
- Campari
- An obscure Italian vermouth
- Breukline Distillery 77 Corn & Rye Whiskey

The first one for G&Ts, the first three for Negronis, the last three for Boulavardiers, the last one for smoked maple Old Fashioneds - that’s my whole repertoire.

Plus 20 odd bottles of scotch.

Like Troutman I have pisco and cachaca. Would not be summer without those essentials. I've got ratafia, cynar and kweichow moutai just cause no one ever drinks it. Pro tip...Advocaat. Makes a wicked fluffy duck.

I have a bottle of vodka and a bottle of crown royal. Both of which have probably been in there since last summer. Rarely do I drink hard liquor and really only have beers after slo pitch and hockey.

I was in Peru last month and went through the Pisco winery. You wouldn't drink it if you saw how it was made.

Noteworthy Gin
Crown Royal (I don't drink it but my dad does)
Some sort of Tequila. I usually bring back a few bottles of different stuff I've never heard of from mexico.

...and the wine rack is always stocked too.

Lots of Captain Morgan
Jack Daniels
White Baccardi rum
Jim Beam bourbon (just started getting into bourbon, I think I need an upgrade)
Bombay gin
Jagermesister & spiced Jagermeister
Alberta Pure vodka
A bunch of assorted liquors as well, I forget what I even have in the back
Some wine bottles in the wine rack
Lots of beer in the beer fridge.

You don't need to drink to have a good time, but as Jim Jefferies once said, really good funny stories don't usually start with ".......so, I was eating a salad......"
