I remember how highly touted he was while playing at the World Juniors so many years ago. His skating was phenomenal, and the hope was that he become a little more aggressive and his ceiling was through the roof. While he was never a superstar, he was as dependable as you could be, while always being a top pairing guy. I like players with no ego and he was definitely one. It's a real shame the heart issue ended his really good career.
