In addition to knick knacks and doo dads do they also carry bric-a-bracs?

If you are looking for interesting gifts and are hoping to support local retailers as well as local producers, I highly recommend the following:

Alberta Craft Council Gift shop
cSPACE King Edward, 1721 - 29 Avenue SW #280. Calgary, AB and in Edmonton at
10186 - 106 Street. Edmonton AB

Lineham House Gallery in Okotoks
33 Elma St. Okotoks, Alberta

I'm also partial to the Bluerock Gallery in Black Diamond
110 Centre Ave W, Black Diamond, AB T0L 0H0

If Regulator’s work is not what you’re looking for, check out Paul Zizka or Neil Zeller (more of Prairies and Calgary City photographer though)

To be honest, it's not a good place for Christmas shopping, anyway, so you're not missing out on anything. Thanks again, though.

That's a bloodboiling story, actually. Hopefully it was just a young, stupid, immature CP'er who didn't understand the power of reviews and not someone actually maliciously attacking someone's livelihood because they don't like how they post on a message board.

They used to be called Special Crisp in Canada, but I haven't seen them in years.

That just reminded me of a bunch of chocolate bars I haven’t seen in a while. Mirage, Krackel, Crunchie. Maybe they’re still around actually. I probably just haven’t paid much attention. Crunchie was horrible though.

Crunchie is around. Must be so cheap to make. Crappy sponge toffee with a super thin coat of waxy chocolate.

I love Crunchie!

Mysteriously we had some full sized to hand out for Halloween and the Crunchies didn't get to the kids.

Yeah Crunchie has an incredible texture and taste. Only problem with them is they absolutely need to be realatively fresh. They are a break a part, stale mess if they start to go.

You guys ever buy Flake bars from UK shops? Candy store in Banff has them and there's an English section at my Safeway that sells them, too.

Damn they're good.

Edit: lol at recommending chocolate bars from overseas...as unlocal as you can get.
