Saw that the other day, those swats are absolutely nothing.

Horses follow their heads, guy is trying to steer the horse's head the right way. If a bucking horse tried to go back into the chute it's just going to injure itself and the rider.

I've spent a non-inconsiderable time around horses and I've never seen anyone smack one in the head like that. Putting them in the tiny chute is the start of the problem, and having to correct them violently should not be the only option, even if it doesn't hurt the horse all that much.

I'm not for banning rodeo but I'll be happy when we decide it's not something we should be supporting as a city.

As in did I mean that literally? No. It was a dig made in jest. I hope I didn't hurt any feelings.

Dog food and glue is less Carbon intensive than a horse. So its for the good of mankind.

You do know how they get them to buck right? Seems you should have more issue with that than a guy lightly slapping a horse that is 10x the size of the man...

What time does the Grandstand show end? My daughter wants to see Alessia Cara at the Coca-Cola Stage, wondering if we can do both that and the Grandstand show.

Years and years ago, in my only rodeo visit, one of the horses went down and went under the tarp, and like an insensitive prick I just say "Off to the glue factory for him"....with the horse's owners right behind me. As far as derp goes, lol....

Fireworks have been at 11:10 give or take a couple minutes.

Headliner at the Coke stage is 9:45pm. Don't think you can do both.

Grandstand show is fantastic this year BTW.

Flank steak.

Horses are prey animals, they react more like rabbits than dogs.

Kaskade was amazing.

Really enjoyed the extra space at the new stage. Sound and lighting were fantastic.
