I love their ads, but I can't help wonder if this is all part of the GOP's long game for the post-trump World. After all, Trump is not THE issue with the Repulicans, but he is their basest example and bringing out the worst elements.
But those elements are still there in the GOP, just not as blatant as with Trump, so if Trump loses the GOP isn't going to actually change, just point to these ads and say Trump hijacked out party, we're really quite reasonable, come back and vote for us.

Oh, probably. But at this point in time, we just need Trump voted out so you take what you can.
It's like cheering for the Oilers to win a game so the Flames can get a playoff spot.

Jesus f'n christ, he really is the dumbest person the planet. Full marks to that journalist for actually putting up with that insanity. I'm surprised he didn't just stand up, say "yea, I'm done with this idiot" and walk out of the room.

I've got a theory that people around him decided to tell him that death rate as a proportion of cases was a good, important stat that he could make better just by having more testing. And even if he's making a fool of himself by talking about it, and least he's thinking that more testing is good, even if it's for totally selfish optics rather than saving lives.
It's nice what their doing now but really look into who they are. They are not good people. Right now attacking trump is great but look to who they really are . They are not good by any means. Alot of war criminals in their ranks and racists.
Wow, just watched a riot cop shove a reporter to the ground. He was shouting that he was giving her a lawful order to move, she shouted that she was press. He said, fine, you can go to jail and pushed her down! Crazy stuff there tonight right now. Arrests, beatings, etc...
Also, watching a cop stomp and smash a megaphone was particularly poignant.

They're stated goal is a complete rejection of the Trump party including enablers. Once that's done you can go back to being on opposite sides of serious issues. You use the help you have available.
It's been pointed out a few times who the Lincoln Project team consists of and based on the responses here about that, nobody is naive to think that they're any different now from who they've always been. They're against the Trump cult and they're putting their influence behind the movement to get him out of office. No more, no less.
For me, the dumbest part is his response to the question regarding John Lewis. "I didn't really know him". Ok. Fine. But you knew what he did and what his life was all about. You know dam well how he will be remembered. "He didn't come to my inauguration". Ok but neither did 500k imaginary people. "I've done more for black people than anyone." Honestly? How the hell can you say that in the same space as the name John Lewis? What is actually wrong with you? You god dam moron.

I think my favorite part of these debacle Trump interviews is that you know the second it ended, he got up from his chair and thought "Nailed it". And that by the end of today he'll be rage tweeting about how unfair the interview was because normal human beings saw it and thought it was a catastrophe.
