Very true. They can finally see what kind of talent they actually have instead of going out and buying it.

But Roman is not a patient man, if they finish 8th this year he won't go into next summer thinking "I've gotten to see good young talent play", he'll be looking to spend.

Well I think if they're finishing eighth then it's fair to say the young talent isn't doing really well for them as Devo mentioned.

Does odoi still want to leave no matter what?
I do think it's a blessing in disguise, long term, without hazard I think they were gonna struggle for top 4 regardless, even with a big spend because lamps is in first year in the league
Now they get to see which positions they can use the youngsters at, and which need strengthening next summer
They didn't look horrible today either, with kante in there breaking up the counter better they would have looked a lot more solid too

I guess a piece of that is that this young talent also has to shine with an inexperienced manager. Didn't he guide Derby to 6th, from 6th the year before? Not exactly a ringing endorsement for him there. I didn't see today, so maybe he's going to be OK, but this season could be a mess for them, regardless of all the prospects they have in the system.

no transfer ban then. I, for one, am shocked that the Sheiks didn't get the same treatment as Chelsea. SHOCKED!

I don't get it though, Roman has oil money too (and I believe even more than the Sheikh), how couldn't he make it go away?

The club also said they "cooperated fully" with Fifa's investigation. "The club accepts responsibility for the breaches which arose as a result of misinterpretation of the regulations in question," said City.

I love this part in the BBC article. It's like that South Park episode where Cartman teaches high school students how to cheat successfully, like Bill Belichick.

I feel like Roman hasn't cared as much about the team since they won the Champions League in 2012.
He still cares...just not as much as he did before that.

Is City still looking at a ban from the CL, or is this the same case?

different case, but it'd be foolish to expect a different result. They'll get another slap on the wrist and that's that.

Probably, but it's still pathetic when you have a serial rule breaker and they can basically be immune to consequences. It's probably even more ridiculous that there is more than one on-going issue at the same time.

Pukki is the greatest Finnish goal scorer since Selanne.

Pukki for Golden Boot!
Newcastle appointing Steve Bruce really destroyed the Sack Race. Not one bit of exciting this year.

Be curious to know why VAR didn't give a penalty there when Rodri got rugby tackled by Lamela.

Great response from Lamela
And Spurs concede again, Center backs need to be better there

Spurs barely defending. Could get ugly.
