I bet their fans are already counting on those games in hand.

Dropping in just to say that victory clap thing the Hurricanes are doing is cringe and needs to stop.

Yeesh Nylander needs to fire his agent. Fast.

I am for the most part always on the player's side when it comes to getting what is deserved.

I think most people would agree a deal the same as Pasternak's would be a fair deal for Wille. Pasta is a better player but the cap has gone up so that seems fair.

No one knows really what is being offered by either side but the longer this goes the worse it is for Nylander.

Prior to this season I thought Marner and Nylander were on an equal level. But this year so far Marner has just upped his game big time.

It will be interesting to see the numbers when all is said and done but if I was Nylander I get the contract signed this week. The longer Kapanen produces in your spot the worse it looks for Willie.

I like it. Involves the fans and the players seem like they get a kick out of it.

But if the Leafs did this I'd be embarrassed. And if a Canadian franchise did it I'd mock them endlessly.

Final scores and recaps
http://sportsstats.cbc.ca/news/NHL-R...ate=10-09-2018

https://scores.nbcsports.com/nhl/scoreboard.asp?day=20181009

The BJs came out flying in the 1st period taking a 2-0 lead and 17-9 in shots. The Avs tied it up in the 2nd period and then the BJs score 3 times in the 3rd period to win 5-2. Foligno with 2g, 1a for a 3 point game. Grubauer was in net for the Avs. The Sharks bit the Flyers every which way possible as they won 8-2! Goodrow with a SHG, Kane on the PP, Pavelski and Kane with 2 goals each, and Labanc with 4 assists. Lots of shots, 48-33 in favour of the Sharks.

Kovalchuk scores his 1st NHL goal in over 5 years as the Kings got on the board first. He almost scored again to tie it late in the game as his shot hit the crossbar. The Jets win 2-1 in reg time and it would have been worse for the Kings if not for Jack Campbell, the Kings goalie. He kept the score close with the onslaught of Jets shots. Connor scored the GWG midway through the 3rd period on the PP.

It was the Marner-Reiley-Seguin show as those players had 4 points each for the respective teams. The Leafs out last the Stars 7-4. Tavares and Matthews with 2 goals each. Weak defense, but, strong offensive power by the Leafs. The Hurricanes also have strong offense as they beat the Canucks 5-3. Carolina had 5 different goal scorers. Most of the scoring happened before the mid point of the game, it was 4-3 already just over 3 minutes into the 2nd period.

I know its popular to jump on Elliott on these parts of the internet but the Flyers really hung him out to dry. 6 of 8 were on yhe d to be honest. I'm all one for a Elliot "lynching" but lets be fair the Flyers d was no where to be found.

Just saw this. That is what would embarrass a Leaf’s fan?

Thanks. I always wondered. 👍🏻
