Oh, but that's because the team is still getting used to eachother of course.

Haha!

Puljajarvi attempts a cute between-the-legs chip-pass in the offensive zone and turns it over. The puck is rushed down the ice for a great scoring chance.

4-1. Matt Benning sucks at defense.

This game has everything so far, a goal on the first shot, Russell sprawling while a shot goes in the net, terrible defense and Hall playing better than McTeeTime.

One would tend to forget the Devils have crazy good forward depth if they're healthy. They annually miss guys like Zajac for extended periods of time. Last year moJo was out for majority of the season with a Brad Marchand special induced concussion.

Keep this roster healthy and they're as dangerous as anyone in the league.

Travis Zajac is 33. Man it felt like that guy was a rookie like two years ago.

I swear I just heard the Devils main PbP guy say Reider was the best Oilers skater. Maybe he just called him fast. but surely hes not the best skater.

Kevin Quinn: Here's a chance for Draisaitl, Lucic catching up

Lucic laboring 30 feet behind the play

That was awesome. Damn Lucic is even slower this season if that's possible.

Just took a look at the Oilers schedule.

They're off until the 11th, but come back to NA and have a pretty brutal schedule.

@ BOS
@ NYR
@ WPG
vs BOS
vs NSH
vs PIT
vs WSH
@ NSH
@ CHI (back to back)

Rangers game the only easier matchup in their first 10 games. 1-9 start for Edmonton would be pretty hilarious.
