Yep, we're losing this one. I don't even know what to say anymore. We can't do ####.

Special teams the difference. 2-2 on the pp, while Philly goes 0-6.

Coyotes bounce back and split the games at home, still the series is odd.

Oilers are getting a high amount of shots on net, this forced the Coyotes to rest their starter in game #2

Goalie Stats
Robin Lehner (EDM), 23 saves from 28 shots - (0.821), L, 1-1-0, 60:00 minutes
Jacob Markstrom (PHO), 39 saves from 42 shots - (0.929), W, 1-0-0, 60:00 minutes

3 Stars
1 - Kyle Palmieri (PHO)
2 - Anders Lee (EDM)
3 - Alexander Edler (PHO)

Weird game. Tons of penalties. Not usually the type of game the Sabres play. Still, we are happy to be up 2-0 going into Toronto. I'd like to see us win at least one game there before it returns to Buffalo.

General Fight at 15:40 of 3rd period
Adam Lowry and Patrik Berglund fight to a draw at 15:40 of 3rd period
Brian Dumoulin and Brenden Dillon fight to a draw at 15:40 of 3rd period
Brandon Sutter and Josh Bailey fight to a draw at 15:40 of 3rd period
Anthony Mantha and Casey Cizikas fight to a draw at 19:28 of 3rd period

That's more like it, a complete team effort with 2nd and 4th lines doing all the damage. It's concerning that our star players have been very quiet and they will need to get it going if we have any chance at winning.

Rask gets hot, look out!

Apparently the Hawks thought Game 2 was tomorrow instead of today. Hopefully the team is rested as they didn't put up much of a fight today.

Another barn burner in Calgary, The Avs take a penalty in OT and the Flames convert to take a 2-0 lead. Both teams strong on home ice so we need to come out and play hard in game 3.

3 Stars

1 - Joe Pavelski (CGY)
2 - David Krejci (CGY)
3 - Ryan Johansen (COL)

Power Play

Colorado Avalanche - 2 on 4 Attempt(s) - 50.00%
Calgary Flames - 1 on 3 Attempt(s) - 33.33%
Penalty Kill

Colorado Avalanche - 2 on 3 Attempt(s) - 66.67% - Score 0 goal in Penalty Kill
Calgary Flames - 2 on 4 Attempt(s) - 50.00% - Score 0 goal in Penalty Kill
Team Stat

Colorado Avalanche - Hits : 21 - Faceoff Wins : 39 - Blocked Shots : 7 - Penalty Minutes : 6
Calgary Flames - Hits : 15 - Faceoff Wins : 66 - Blocked Shots : 11 - Penalty Minutes : 8

Isles deserved the win but Anderson stood on his head. Hopefully Detroit can stop giving up so many shots.

Ready and looking forward to the next game.

Just like the real Maple Leafs, we've suffered two excruciatingly, heartbreakingly close losses on the road to begin the series, but will undoubtedly bounce back on home ice.

Isn't Buffalo's home ice like Toronto home ice anyways?

Only in real life. In the CPHL universe, Buffalo's home ice is the very definition of a hostile environment.

This was a game we needed to win. We were lucky to come out on the right side of a very close game. Defence was much better in this one and Crawford got the job done. Crawford will own the net for the first game on the road. Hopefully we can build off this one and get going.
